Perhaps one of our members will be better able to help you. If you work in a casino, have a contract with the slot manufacturer, and have paid for SAS, then IGT will provide you with the specifics of the protocol and how to set it up. I also don't know much about the SAS protocol, and not many members here do, because SAS is only used in casinos and is a proprietary protocol that is expensive to purchase. I would think that the decision of which type to use would be made by the head of your casino's slot department. I know that some slots can have internal progressives in addition to linked progressives. To be honest, I don't fully understand what you are asking, but I think that your question depends on what machine you're setting up and how you want the progressives to work. Since you sent me another copy of this post in a pm, I thought I should respond to the question, although it is not in my area of knowledge. ![]()
